Happy New Year 2021 from the Preschool Office!

Thank you to all the families that touched our hearts in the Preschool Office by your thoughtful cards, gifts, and kind words.  Wishing all our families a healthy Happy New Year!

In January, the children begin celebration of Bears!  This unit runs from January 11th through January 22nd.  For two weeks the children will learn concepts about bears, hibernation, and the season of winter.  On THURSDAY, JANUARY 21st and FRIDAY, JANUARY 22nd, the Preschool willhighlight the end of this hibernation celebration with a “Pancake Pajama Party.” Pancakes, whip cream and strawberries!!!

Here is a list to help you remember what to wear for class.

  • Your preschooler in their pajamas, jacket, or robe.
  • Please remember to put slippers or shoes on your children even if their pajamas have feet in them.
  • Reminder, no stuffed animals this year or blankets

Beginning January 25th through the 29th we study Dinosaurs! This unit is always great fun with the children.  The freedom of movement, learning about food choices and learning about sizes and differences – not to mention the RAWRR!  A fossil hunt and volcano in the sand area to finish the unit on Dinosaurs.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions we will not have a Dad’s this year!!  Maybe your preschooler and Dad can celebrate with Dino-nuggets and a dinosaur hunt at home!!!

No School Monday January 18th in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.

Happy New Year with Love,

Robin Kerber, Debbie Roppel, and Rose Heredia
